Laser Engraving vs. Printing For Custom Corporate Gifts
March 17, 2026 · 7 min read
The branding method decides how your logo ages. Choose it from the material and the logo artwork, not from the price list alone.
Deep laser engraving
Permanent, single-tone and unaffected by dishwashers or daily handling. Ideal for stainless steel, aluminium, bamboo and leather. It cannot reproduce gradients, and very fine type can close up on curved surfaces.
UV full-color printing
Reproduces gradients, photographs and multi-color marks on flat or gently curved surfaces such as acrylic, coated metal and rigid boxes. Durable in normal desk use, though less abrasion-resistant than engraving.
Screen printing
The cost leader for large runs on canvas and textiles with one to three spot colours. Setup cost per colour means it favours volume and simple artwork.
Choosing quickly
Metal drinkware and executive items: engrave. Multi-color logo on acrylic or packaging: UV print. High-volume tote bags with a simple mark: screen print. When in doubt, preview both in the online customizer before sampling.
